My dear friend Mallory is going to Italy for three whole months. She leaves tomorrow. I miss her already.

I’ve always been really fascinated with self portraits. Whether it’s Rembrandt or Cindy Sherman, I think the concept of capturing yourself in your own art, whatever way you choose to do it is really compelling. I’m making a goal to do more of them. Here’s my first one. I’m starting simple.  I love my hair. I’m growing it out. Sometimes it gets in my face.
